Xibition Team Roping Stakes

The Xibition Team Roping Stakes (XTRS) is a new branch of The Xibition Stallion Program, developed to elevate Canadian team roping by bringing more added-money opportunities, stallion incentives, and recognition to the sport.

Through this initiative:

Stallion owners gain exposure across multiple Western disciplines.
Breeders increase the value of their foals through lifetime eligibility.
Ropers gain access to bigger payouts and incentive-funded futurities right here in Canada.

XTRS connects the breeding shed to the roping box — rewarding performance, supporting growth, and keeping Canadian-bred talent in the spotlight.

In 2025, The Xibition proudly announced its partnership with the
Canadian Snaffle Bit Team Roping Futurity!

To kick things off, The Xibition added $10,000 to the pot, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration focused on growth, opportunity, and investment in Canadian rope-horse programs.

While The Xibition has deep roots in the reining world, this partnership represents an exciting step into the team roping arena — creating more opportunities for Canadian-bred horses, riders, and stallion owners to succeed at home.

Eligiblity

To celebrate the launch of XTRS, The Xibition is offering a special one-time nomination window for 2025 only:

Horses of any age sired by a participating stallion may pay a one-time nomination fee to become XTRS-eligible.
Each owner may also nominate one additional horse not sired by a participating stallion under this same exemption.

Once nominated, horses remain eligible for life — with no need to re-nominate in future years.
This inaugural offer ensures that both current competitors and young prospects can take part in the first chapter of this program’s history.
